Pamo Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Hedirun, based in Georgia, United States ("Hedirun", "we", "us", or "our") governing the Pamo mobile app and its related account, storage, and support services (together, "Pamo" or the "Service"). Creating an account or using Pamo means you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy, available in the app and at https://hedirun.com/pamo/privacy, explains how we handle information. These Terms do not waive privacy rights or consumer protections that applicable law does not allow you to waive. Questions, complaints, and support requests can be sent to support@hedirun.com.

1. What Pamo provides

Pamo helps you scan or import documents, store encrypted copies, organize files, and find them using on-device text recognition and AI-assisted search. Its document assistant is called Onna. Features depend on supported devices, available storage, permissions, and network access. An account and internet connection are required for cloud functions; some processing and previously cached documents can work offline.

Pamo is a personal document tool. It does not authenticate the legal validity of a document, certify a copy, replace an original you are required to retain, or guarantee compliance with recordkeeping duties that apply to you or your organization.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, you may use Pamo only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms for that use. If local law does not permit that arrangement, you must not use Pamo.

If you use Pamo on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it. You must not use Pamo if applicable law prohibits us from providing it to you.

3. Account and security

Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Protect your password, vault passphrase, recovery phrase, sign-in codes, and two-factor backup codes. You are responsible for your authorized use of the account and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access. Notify support@hedirun.com promptly if you suspect a compromise.

Apple or Google sign-in may be available. Access through those providers is also subject to their terms and your ability to use the relevant account. You are responsible for maintaining a usable sign-in method and means of unlocking your vault.

We may require verification for sensitive account actions or support requests. Hedirun support will not ask you to disclose your vault key or recovery phrase. Optional security features do not eliminate the need to protect the device itself.

4. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, Hedirun gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Pamo on supported devices you own or control for your own authorized purposes. App Store usage rules, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchasing permissions, also apply. This is a license to use Pamo; it does not transfer ownership of its software or branding to you.

The license lasts while these Terms remain in effect. You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially provide the app to others without permission, except where an applicable license or law permits it. Open-source software and AI model components remain subject to their respective licenses; these Terms do not take away rights those licenses grant.

5. Encryption, recovery, and your copies

Pamo encrypts document files and sensitive document metadata on your device before upload. A device-generated vault key protects them, and encrypted copies of that key support unlocking and recovery. Account authentication is separate: a password used for email sign-in is sent to the authentication provider over an encrypted connection, and may also be used locally to protect your wrapped vault key.

If you lose all means of unlocking the vault, including your recovery phrase, Hedirun cannot recreate the secret needed to recover your documents. Resetting an account password does not by itself guarantee access to an encrypted vault. Keep your 12-word recovery phrase somewhere safe and separate from your device.

Maintain independent copies of irreplaceable documents. You are responsible for checking that imports, scans, syncs, and exports complete successfully before deleting originals. Storage and encryption reduce certain risks but do not guarantee permanent availability or protection against every form of compromise or data loss.

6. Your documents and permissions

You retain ownership of the documents and other content you add. You give Hedirun only the permission reasonably necessary to receive, store, transmit, back up, and return encrypted data in order to operate Pamo, and to process associated account and operational information as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not acquire ownership of your documents or permission to use them for advertising or external AI training.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to store and process your content, including information about other people. You are responsible for the lawfulness of that content and your use of it. These Terms do not create a separate enterprise data-processing, professional-services, or regulated-records agreement.

When you export, copy, or share information, you choose the destination and recipients. Pamo cannot control a copy once it is outside the vault or recall it when you delete the original in Pamo.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Pamo to:

• Break the law, infringe another person's rights, or store or distribute unlawful material.
• Upload malware, interfere with infrastructure, evade account or storage restrictions, or impose unreasonable load on the Service.
• Access another person's account or data without authorization, steal credentials, or bypass security controls.
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent your authority, or use the Service for fraud.
• Remove proprietary notices, make unauthorized copies, or reverse engineer the software except to the extent applicable law or a component's license permits it.
• Resell or provide unauthorized commercial access to Pamo.

You can report suspected misuse or a security problem to support@hedirun.com. Document encryption limits our ability to inspect stored content; it does not authorize unlawful use or prevent us from acting on account activity, reports, or legal requirements.

8. Storage, availability, and current pricing

Pamo is currently provided without subscription or in-app purchase charges. Account storage and upload limits apply; the allowance shown in the app governs your account. An upload may be refused when it exceeds an applicable limit. Your mobile carrier, internet provider, or other services may charge their own fees.

We may change limits or introduce optional paid features in the future. Material changes will be communicated before they apply where reasonably practicable and as required by law. Any paid offering will disclose its price, billing, cancellation, and refund terms before purchase and require your agreement; these Terms alone do not authorize us to charge you.

We do not promise uninterrupted service or a particular service level. Maintenance, outages, device limitations, or third-party failures can affect availability. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of planned material interruptions or a service closure and an opportunity to export accessible documents.

9. Onna and automated results

Onna performs document text recognition, classification, naming, descriptions, and search processing on your device. Model downloads may be required for some features. We do not send document content to an external AI service for these functions.

Automated output may be incomplete or wrong. Review important scans, extracted text, file names, classifications, and search results, and correct them when necessary. Onna does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it to establish a deadline, obligation, diagnosis, identity, or the authenticity of a document.

10. Third-party services and links

Pamo relies on services for authentication, hosting, storage, email delivery, model distribution, and App Store distribution. Those dependencies and the information they handle are described in the Privacy Policy. Websites or services you choose to open, sign into, or send files to may have separate terms and privacy practices.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using those services. Hedirun does not control their independent operation. This section does not exclude any responsibility or consumer remedy that the law places on Hedirun for providing Pamo.

11. Updates and changes to the Service

We may release corrections, security updates, and new versions, or change supported features and devices. An update may be necessary to keep using the Service safely or compatibly. Unless separate terms accompany it, an update is subject to these Terms.

We will provide notice of material reductions or discontinuation where reasonably practicable and as required by law. Urgent security, legal, or operational issues may require faster action. You may stop using Pamo and export accessible documents if a change does not suit you.

12. Intellectual property, feedback, and reports

Hedirun and its licensors retain rights in Pamo's software, design, branding, and other materials they supply. Your document ownership is separate. Permission to use the app does not grant permission to use our marks in a way that suggests endorsement or ownership.

If you voluntarily send suggestions about Pamo, you permit us to use that feedback to improve the Service without an obligation to pay you. This permission does not transfer ownership of your documents or authorize unrelated uses of personal information in support messages. Do not send confidential third-party information as product feedback.

For an intellectual-property complaint, email support@hedirun.com with your contact details, a description of the protected work and alleged infringement, enough information to identify the issue, and an explanation of your authority to complain. We may request further information needed to assess the report and will handle it under applicable law. This contact method is not a representation that Hedirun has registered a statutory copyright agent.

13. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You can end your use of Pamo and request account deletion through Account > Account details > Delete account. Deleting the app alone does not delete the account. Export anything you want to keep first. The Privacy Policy explains deletion processing and the possibility of retained encrypted files, backups, or records that have separate retention purposes.

We may suspend or end access when you materially breach these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or where required by law. Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the action and allow you to resolve the issue or retrieve accessible documents. Immediate restrictions may be necessary for urgent risks or legal requirements. You can contact support to ask us to review an account action.

When access ends, your license to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including content ownership, intellectual property, lawful retention, accrued obligations, warranty limitations, liability, and dispute provisions, survive termination. Nothing here authorizes retention inconsistent with the Privacy Policy or applicable law.

14. Warranties and consumer rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pamo is provided "as is" and "as available", without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free results, compatibility with every device, or that data will never be lost.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, duty, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If the law where you live gives you mandatory consumer rights, those rights continue to apply despite these Terms.

15. Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hedirun is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or lost profits, goodwill, or data arising from the Service. To that same extent, our total liability for claims relating to Pamo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Hedirun for Pamo in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 50.

These limitations apply only where lawful and do not limit responsibility for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such a limitation is prohibited, or any other liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

16. Responsibility for third-party claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Hedirun for reasonable third-party claims, losses, and legal costs caused by your unlawful content, infringement of others' rights, or material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from Hedirun's own unlawful conduct or breach of its obligations.

We will notify you of a claim for which we seek indemnification and provide a reasonable opportunity to participate in its handling. You are not required to agree to a settlement imposing a non-monetary obligation or admission on you without your consent. This section does not override mandatory consumer protections.

17. Apple App Store provisions

For a copy of Pamo obtained through Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are between you and Hedirun, not Apple. Hedirun is responsible for Pamo and its content, and for applicable maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
• Your license applies to Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to Apple's usage rules and applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchasing permissions.
• If Pamo fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund the app purchase price, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation; other applicable warranty responsibilities remain Hedirun's.
• Hedirun, not Apple, is responsible for addressing product-liability, regulatory, consumer-protection, privacy, and other claims relating to Pamo. For a third-party claim that Pamo or your authorized use infringes intellectual-property rights, Hedirun is responsible for its investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge as required by applicable law.
• You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as supporting terrorism, and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party agreements when using Pamo. Apple's usage rules control if a provision of these Terms would conflict with them.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the applicable provisions against you after you accept them.

18. Governing law and resolving disputes

Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts in Georgia. If you are a consumer entitled by law to use courts or rely on protections where you live, that entitlement is preserved.

Please contact support@hedirun.com if you have a dispute so we have an opportunity to resolve it. You are not required to delay an urgent court application, let a legal deadline expire, or give up a statutory complaint process while we discuss it. These Terms do not require binding arbitration or waive class-action rights.

19. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive it. You may not transfer your agreement without our consent, except where the law permits. Hedirun may transfer it as part of a business reorganization or transfer of Pamo, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

These Terms, together with applicable terms you separately accept for a particular offering, govern your use of Pamo and replace earlier terms on the same subject. The Privacy Policy continues to govern information handling. Except for Apple's express rights above or as required by law, the Terms do not give enforcement rights to third parties.

20. Changes to these Terms and contact

We may update these Terms and will change the date at the top. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app or by email before they take effect, except where urgent legal or security reasons require otherwise. We will obtain additional agreement where required by law. You may stop using the Service if you do not agree to an update; continued use after its effective date signifies acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
